Residents of host borough Tower Hamlets have the chance to buy Olympic and Paralympic test event tickets 48 hours before they are made available to the wider public.
They will have priority access to tickets for hockey, synchronised swimming, wheelchair tennis and water polo in the run up to the 2012 Games.
Mayor Lutfur Rahman said he hoped that the local community would take advantage of this opportunity to feel like a part of the event.
"By watching sport played in Olympic venues, residents will not only help the preparation for London 2012, but will also be among the first to see the new facilities in action," he added.
The tickets go on sale for purchase by Tower Hamlets residents at 09:00 GMT on March 13th and will be issued on a first come, first served basis.
They will be available to the general public from 10:00 GMT on March 15th.
Events will take place between April 18th and May 6th at various locations throughout the city.
